Following a round robin with all six teams competing, the WBSC Americas Qualifier is now down to its semifinals. The host organization, the Venezuela Baseball Federation, has a YouTube channel where they are live-streaming the games.

Puerto Rico, Mexico, Venezuela, and Cuba have all earned a spot in the preliminary round of the IX WBSC Women’s Baseball World Cup.
The round-robin competition, which consisted of six teams and began on Friday, August 12th, Puerto Rico completely dominated. During the round-robin round, Puerto Rico was unbeaten and outscored its opponents 44-10. Janiliz Rivera, a star right-handed pitcher, turned in a performance that spanned 14 innings, in which she recorded 14 strikeouts and two victories. Her earned run average was a respectable 0.50. In the first round of the tournament, Adrix Paradizo had an impressive batting average of.533, going 8-for-15.
In the round-robin competition, Venezuela, Cuba, and Mexico each ended with a record of 3-2.
On the last day of the round-robin competition, Venezuela prevailed over the Dominican Republic in a pitching battle to earn a trip to the next round. Mariana Natera pitched a complete game, allowing only three hits while she blanked the Dominicans in the process. After allowing only four hits over the course of six innings, Angela Burgos was held to a loss because to two runs that were unearned.
The Dominican Republic (1-4) came in fifth, and Nicaragua (0-5) took sixth place overall in the standings.
Macuto, Venezuela is the location where the semifinals will take place on Friday, August 19:

The championship matches are set to take place on the 20th of August.

The summer of 2024 is when the IX WBSC Women’s Baseball World Cup is anticipated to take place. It will be the first time that the World Cup is contested using the WBSC’s new two-stage format for the competition.
Following the completion of the continental qualifying competitions, the 24 national teams will be divided into two groups of 12 to compete in the first stage. The following are the participants, organized by continent:
