The Netherlands scored several runs in the bottom of the first inning despite being pitched by South Africa’s Dylan O’Brien. The scoring started right away.
The Dutch offense was kicked off by a single to left field by Darryl Collins, which was followed by singles by Shervyen Newton, Jair Van Borkulo, and Tyriq Kemp. Additionally, Jeandro Tromp hit a double that drove in two runs, and Yurdion Martie hit a home run that scored three runs and cleared the bases.
